Application developer

Outokumpu is seeking talented Application Developers to join our IT team in Tornio, Finland. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deliver complex software applications. - Enhance operational efficiency through standardization, automation, and development initiatives. - Follow safety rules and regulations. - Manage the software application lifecycle from selection to retirement. - Participate in application upgrades, including testing, versioning, deployment, and validation. - Provide end-user support, including OnCall Service. - Customize and configure applications for manufacturing needs. - Apply best practices and standard methods in development. - Maintain high-quality documentation and up-to-date source code. - Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry regulations. - Identify and implement process improvements. Requirements - B.Sc. in IS/IT or equivalent experience. - Extensive experience in Application Development. - Familiarity with MES and related systems. - Proficiency in development languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, .Net, COBOL, MS technologies) and R&D tools (e.g., git). - Intermediate skills in Server Operating Systems and Databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL). - Intermediate skills in Cloud Technologies. - Basic problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills in Finnish & English.
