South-East Finland University of Applied Sciences is looking for a new Director of School of Health and Wellbeing to join its team of over 1,000 people. The School of Health and Wellbeing has around 4000 students and 140 staff. What is the job about? In this role, you will be responsible for the field of health and wellbeing education, its synergetic development and act as a director for the heads of the education units in the field. We expect the Director of School of Health and Wellbeing to develop results-oriented activities in cooperation with the other two education sectors and stakeholders, and to implement the UAS strategy in an open-minded way. The Director of School of Health and Wellbeing will be involved in the common tasks of the whole UAS and will actively contribute to the development of the UAS. And what do we expect from you? We require a doctoral degree in an appropriate field of education. We expect you to have professional experience and a proven track record of leadership and development roles. We also expect you to communicate fluently in Finnish and English. Excellent interpersonal skills and a good ability to cope with pressure are essential for success. We consider it an advantage to have a broad view of the wellbeing sector, knowledge of training organisations and an open-minded attitude. We value a strong commitment and vision for the development of Xamk's education, strategic and visionary leadership, the ability to inspire and make goals a reality in the organisation, and good collaboration skills. You can be based on any of our campuses. The position is permanent and full-time. The position will start on 1.9. 2025 or as agreed. There is a probationary period. Why should you apply to us?
