International trainee, Teaching (English and French) / Pispala elementary school

Through the trainee programme, you can complete your university internship and get a good start to your career. The City of Tampere Trainee Programme runs from 18 Aug to 19 Dec 2025. You will be paid for your traineeship period. The University internship voucher would be an advantage. We work in a hybrid working model allowing flexible remote and office working hours in several tasks. International Trainee Programme is targeted at international students or newly graduated international students from Finnish universities. International Trainee Programme is carried out in English. Some of the meetings are organized in cooperation with the Trainee Programme for the Finnish speakers, and you will be part of Finnish-speaking workplace community. You will be able to practice your Finnish skills, even though you can use English in your actual work. There will be a Finnish club for the International Trainees to improve their Finnish skills. Pispala elementary school is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English and French language teaching trainee. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in language teaching. The teaching hours will primarily be at Pispala school. Key responsibilities: - Assist in planning and delivering engaging English and French language lessons - Support pupils in developing their language skills through interactive activities and exercises - Collaborate with experienced teachers to create and implement lesson plans - Provide feedback and support to pupils to enhance their learning experience Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in education, linguistics, or a related field with a focus on teacher education - Proficiency in both English and French at a minimum of CEFR level B2 (spoken and written) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Experience in working with elementary school -aged children - Passion for teaching and cultural exchange We look forward to welcoming a new member to our team who shares our passion for language education!
