Summary Art in Tanzania has been a key factor in the development of Tanzanian arts for over 20 years, since 1996. Details Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing African communities. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as fantastic natural scenery and wildlife. Our community-based programs focus on empowering local communities and helping individuals living in poverty.  Our Music and Arts sector programs offer students unforgettable opportunities to collaborate with renowned Tanzanian artists. We regularly incorporate students into programs such as music, dance, fine arts, film, and photography. You can utilise art as a tool in community psychology programs. The internship aims to provide hands-on experience in implementing educational programs in developing countries with limited capacity, while also acquiring essential work skills for managing an NGO in Africa. Academic-level team leaders supervise your daily work. We also monitor your progress using a weekly plan and reporting system to ensure your success in your placement work. Additionally, to gain a better understanding of the opportunities in a fast-growing economy. Interns work in teams of international students and volunteers. Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. The program is ongoing, so the start dates are adjustable. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests, empowering our daily work with the communities. Daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility work. The start and end dates are flexible. You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable safaris and tours. We typically have 15-40 students from diverse parts of the world, representing over 400 universities with which we collaborate, as well as a variety of professions. Our testimonials page.
