Procurement Specialist for CAM Plant Project, Kotka

We are looking for a ProcurementSpecialist to join our clients China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. team forthe Kotka CAM Plant project. China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd.(CHEC) is a world-renowned international contractorand a leading provider of comprehensive services across the entire industrychain for both public and private sectors. CHEC has been engaged as the maincontractor for the CAM Plant project in Kotka, responsible for theimplementation and construction of the plant. In this Procurement Specialist role, youwill be part of the Commercial and Procurement team that contributes to thesuccessful execution of the project. The position is project-based, with anexpected duration of approximately two years, and the work is located inKeltakallio, Kotka. Your responsibilities include: - Conducting market research onthe local and European construction industry andsubcontractors. - Evaluating and recommendingqualified subcontractors and suppliers. - Managing procurement processesrelated to engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance. - Supporting bidding, contractnegotiation, and supplier performance management. - Coordinating with projectexecution teams to align procurement with project timelines. - Communicate with the customsclearance company to complete the customs clearance work of the imported goods. - Inspection and inventory-takingof the purchased materials upon their arrival to site. What we expect from you: - Bachelors or masters degreein engineering, supply chain management, or a related field. - Minimum of 23 years ofprocurement or subcontracting experience, preferably in the construction orengineering industry in Finland. - To be familiar with localconstruction markets, procurement regulations, and supplier evaluationpractices. - Strong negotiation, costanalysis, and contract management skills; proficient in MS Office andprocurement systems. - Good communication skills andability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multiculturalteams. - Full professional proficiencyin English and Finnish.
