Ritchie Bros.: Senior QA Engineer

Ritchie Bros., the worlds largest auctioneer of commercial assets and vehicles, is looking for multiple Senior QA Engineers to join their forces! Ritchie Bros. is in a rapid growth phase and on the path to transforming and modernizing their Rbauction website and its technical architecture. They are growing their highly skilled technical team in Helsinki and this is where your input and skills will be needed! What will you be doing? As a Senior QA Engineer, you will join the Helsinki-based engineering office and work in a smaller, dedicated team focusing on one of the Rbauction website domains. Your team will consist of software engineers and an Engineering Manager, and the teams main objective is to modernize and build the dedicated product domain and collaborate with US-based project teams. In this new role, you will be part of a team responsible for technical execution across product Engineering teams within the finance domains with a deep focus on Quality Assurance. You collaborate with the QA Lead, engineering and tech leads, designers, product managers, and developers to deliver compelling and efficient products. You will identify and resolve performance and scalability issues while participating in hands-on QA work. More specifically, your tasks will include the following: -Building and developing the automated tests for the deployment pipeline throughout the whole stack ( unit tests, contract tests, e2e tests, non-functional tests ) -Advocating for shifting quality left and being the voice of the user in your domain team, from ideation to sunsetting of the features -Driving the adoption of engineering practices to enable meeting technical and business goals What makes you a great fit? Practicalities: In this full-time and permanent position, you will be employed directly by Ritchie Bros.. The start time in the role is as soon as possible. Ritchie Bros. has an office in the heart of Helsinki, and we hope you are willing to visit the Helsinki office weekly to meet your team and colleagues. As you will be working with the US-based teams and projects, we hope you have the flexibility to participate in meetings at around 5-7 pm Finnish time when needed. The base salary in this position ranges between 4500-5000 €/month depending on your experience and will be negotiated individually.
