Application Specialist

Outokumpu is seeking Application specialists to join our IT team in Tornio, Finland. Key Responsibilities: Enhance operational efficiency through standardization, automation, and development initiatives. Follow safety rules and regulations. Manage the software application lifecycle from selection to retirement. Participate in application upgrades, including testing, versioning, deployment, and validation. Provide end-user support, including OnCall Service. Customize and configure applications for manufacturing needs. Apply best practices and standard methods in development. Maintain high-quality documentation and up-to-date source code. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry regulations. Identify and implement process improvements. Requirements: B.Sc. in IS/IT or equivalent experience. Experience in Application Development. Familiarity with MES and related systems. Proficiency in some development languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, .Net, COBOL, MS technologies) and R&D tools (e.g., git). Basic problem-solving skills.
