EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY EXPERT Application Deadline: July 31, 2025 The International School of Helsinki (ISH) is a vibrant, inclusive, and non-profit learning community offering education to students aged 4 to 18 through the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. Located in Finland capital, ISH fosters a global mindset and prepares students for the complexities of the modern world. The International School of Helsinki is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic IT professional with a strong customer service mindset and a passion for supporting educational excellence through technology. As our Educational Technology Expert, you will champion digital excellence across the ISH community. This key role supports students, educators, and families in the effective, ethical, and innovative use of technology for learning and working. You will be the go-to expert for educational technology at ISH, providing timely, hands-on support, training, and forward-thinking solutions. This is a full time, permanent position. In this role, you will: - Administer key school platforms, including Google Workspace for Education Plus, MDM systems, Managebac, and other learning tools and devices. - Ensure data privacy compliance (EU GDPR), digital safeguarding, and responsible technology use in accordance with School policies. - Provide responsive support and training to staff, students, and parents. - Drive innovation in how technology supports on-site learning, professional collaboration, and day-to-day operations. - Source, distribute, and maintain IT equipment, and develop technology policies and guidelines aligned with the schools strategic goals. Play a key role in the technology team's strategic planning to evolve how technology supports teaching, learning, and operations at ISH. Qualifications & Experience - A Bachelors degree in IT or equivalent proven expertise. - At least 5 years of experience in IT support, educational technology, or systems administration. - Experience in Google Workspace, device management, or similar database management systems. - Ability to understand EU GDPR impact in technology and how to work around it. - A collaborative and proactive mindset, a positive attitude, a passion for digital learning, and a structured working style with a strong commitment to follow-through. - Experience in an educational setting and/or familiarity with the IB continuum is an advantage.
