Financial Controller

We are growing and now we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our global Accounting and Compliance team. Your main responsibility is to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance for our subsidiaries in selected countries across Europe and North America. The countries will be defined later, according to your skills and interests. The Financial Controller assures that the accounting of each subsidiary is in such good shape during the year that both legal entity level and consolidated financial statements can be completed, the figures can be audited and other statutory obligations can be fulfilled on time. You will also have Financial Controller colleagues supporting from other regions. We would like you to be based in one of our offices in Turku, Kotka, or Tampere, but we offer the flexibility of a hybrid work model. Our global Accounting and Compliance team consists of nine professionals, and you will also have colleagues here in Finland. The key responsibilities as Financial Controller: - Leads the regional accounting & compliance team. - Supervises and executes daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial tasks in legal companies across the specified region. - Co-operates closely with external accounting partners in the region to get them follow Cadmatic group accounting standards and reporting timetables. - Ensures that financial statements, tax filings and other official documents related to fiscal year-end in legal companies are prepared and signed on time. - Participates in the preparation of consolidated financial statements. - Participates in the group external audit as the main contact person for the legal companies across the specified region and acts as the main contact person to local statutory auditors. - Plans and manages cashflows in legal companies across the specified region. - Evaluates and implements efficient workload distribution within the region (both in-house resourcing and outsourcing partners). - Participates in process development work and different projects. What we expect from you: - Bachelors or masters degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field. - Over five years of experience in financial accounting. - Good understanding in statutory reporting and IFRS. - Understanding software business models. - Excellent communication skills and fluency in English - Comfortable in a fast-paced, high growth environment where the organization is in a constant state of development. - Can do attitude and ability to deliver results.
