Avant Power is part of the Avant Group, a Finnish family-owned company and the global market leader in compact loaders.Avant Power was established in 2022 to manufacture electric batteries for Avants electric loaders. The company has a turnover of approximately €4 million and employs 15 people and both product development and manufacturing are 100% based in Finland.We are now recruiting for on open position with a title of Lead Data Scientist (AI/ML)Your main tasksYour main responsibility is todesign and implement an intelligent cloud-based systemthat can forecast electricity production and consumption, generate optimal control instructions for microgrids based on predicted market conditions, and participate in electricity / reserve markets with surplus capacity.You willstart with blank canvas and start drafting the solution with in-house resources and outside stakeholder groups. Your expertise is used for example in forecasting electricity production and consumption and therefore experience in time series-based forecasting and data processing is an integral part of the role.While working on this project, you keep your focus on cost efficiency and bring your expertise to the discussion.
