We are looking for A LECTURER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS for a permanent position as of the 4th of August, 2025. Do you want to do meaningful and responsible work? As a lecturer, your job entails: - teaching in various expertise in the field of International Business and Industrial Management, - supervising the compilation of theses and internships, - research and development duties, and designing and implementing chargeable services. What we expect from you: - competence in international business, sustainable and responsible business and managerial work (in an internationally operating environment), - international business work experience, - business connections and active networks in the field, - demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse and multidisciplinary teams, - proficiency in English both oral and written CEFR-level C1 (advanced) for effective teaching and communication and - strong interpersonal and communication skills. Teaching experience, and oral and written Finnish language skills are considered an advantage. Applicants are required to have an appropriate Masters Degree and minimum three years professional experience in the field. The eligibility requirements for the position are in accordance with the Decree on University of Applied Sciences (A1129/18.12.2014). Pedagogical studies (of at least 35 credits or 60 ECTS credits) are required, and can be completed within three years of the start of the employment. The salary and terms of the position are determined in accordance with the collective agreement for universities of applied sciences by Sivistysala ry. The salary for the position is €3514.47- €5187.20 per month, including an experience bonus. The position includes a six-month probation period, the goals of which are defined together with the employee and their supervisor. As an academic teacher you have a 12-week holiday period, 8 weeks of which are in the summer. You can choose when and where you work for at least 28 % of your working time. Teachers work 1600 hours per academic year (in full-time positions). Note that the position also requires working at Karelia's campuses in Joensuu.
