Mechanical designer (Creo)

Are you the MECHANICAL DESIGNER for our technology industry customer in Vantaa? The open position is with a world leading material handling solutions supplier serving civil contractors and processing industries. And it is not the typical run-of-the-mill kind of job. There are project deliveries and there is R&D work with different processes requiring different solutions. But much is welded stainless steel or plastic piping enduring both pneumatic and hydraulic pressure. In the role you are part of a design team headed by the chief designer of the customer. With at least part of manufacturing on the same site seamless feedack is guaranteed. Work is mainly done together on site. The assignment is also suitable for a freelance entrepreneur part of our supplier network. We expect of you: -relevant M.Sc./B.Sc.engineering degree. -3-5 year relevant mechanical design work experience (e.g. sheet metal) including good quality manufacturing drawings and the commitment to design quality schedules. -any prior design experience in pneumatic/hydraulic powered equipment is a clear advantage. - understanding the principles of FEA and aptitude for basic hand calculations. -experience working in Autocad, mostly Creo including item management experience in PTC Windchill PLM system. - good skills communicating both by speaking and writing in English while some Finnish skills is an advantage. - and of course, the ability to work both independently and as team member on simultaneous projects under the occasional time-pressure.
