Project Manager

Wasa Dredging specializes in underwater drilling and blasting, backhoe dredging and dredging of hard and soft soils. We are a marine offshore and inland water construction company operating mainly in Scandinavia and the Baltic region. Wasa Dredging was founded in 1985. We are actively striving to access the markets in Europe as well. Our main line of business is capital and maintenance dredging of fairways and harbours. Our extensive know-how of the dredging market and continuous renewal and improvement of our in-house designed equipment ensures that we will always have the right tool for the job at hand. We are looking for an experienced or growth-oriented PROJECT MANAGER Would you like to be part of a versatile, growing, and international company? In this role, you will oversee the full life cycle of infrastructure projects from tendering and planning to execution and handover. You will lead site-specific planning related to work phases, quality, safety, and environmental requirements. In addition, youll manage contracts, collaborate closely with clients, and take full responsibility for project schedules, budgets, and reporting. Youll stay in close contact with site operations and all key stakeholders throughout the project. Working closely with designers, subcontractors, clients, and authorities is an essential part of your role. Success in this position requires clear communication, strong leadership, and the ability to keep all parties aligned and informed at every stage. This is primarily an office-based role in Vaasa, with regular site visits across the Nordics, approximately 12 trips per month. Occasional evening and weekend availability is expected to support site operations when needed. Some remote work is possible depending on project demands. To succeed in this role, you should have: A degree in engineering (infrastructure or building construction focus) Several years of experience leading projects or working in infrastructure-related expert roles Knowledge of contract management The ability to manage large, complex projects with financial responsibility Strong IT skills (including Excel) and a structured approach to documentation Fluent Swedish and English; Finnish is an advantage We value initiative, structure, and a strong sense of responsibility.
