The position is for a fixed term of 10 months with a starting date in September 2025 as agreed. The position is located in the School of Marketing and Communication, in the Marketing team. The position is located in Vaasa. Reusify Project The position is connected to Reusify research project which aims to accelerate the uptake of reusable packaging systems by providing tools and resources for developing highly scalable, safe, and efficient reusable packaging systems and its sub-applications. Reusify brings together key stakeholder organizations motivated in developing and building reusable packaging systems in Finland. The consortium includes VTT, University of Vaasa (UVA) along with 21 funding and contributing companies, with 6 parallel projects representing the critical parts of the future value chain for reusable packaging system in Finland. Research focus The research of the position focuses on the transformation towards circular business models and ecosystems in the context of reusable packaging. Your role Your tasks include administrative and project assistance work, as well as direct project research work in relation to the emergence of circular ecosystems in the context of reusable packaging innovation ecosystems: - Literature mapping and systemic review and analysis - Data collection: interviews, field observation, survey development - Data analysis: qualitative data analysis and reporting - Project administration related tasks Requirements You have a suitable academic degree or have the capability required in the position as well as an interest in tasks within research. Candidate recruited is to be proficient in Finnish. Strong English language skills is a must to succeed in the position. The salary is based on both the job requirement and the employees personal performance in accordance with the Finnish University Salary System (YPJ) level 1 (approximately 2198-2468 euros per month based on the experience and skills of the person selected for the position).
