Senior Lecturer in Social Service

We are looking for a senior lecturer for a fixed-term employment contract in the School of Wellbeing from 10.9.2025 to 31.12.2025. The work will be focused on the English-language degree programme in the social services. Your mindset is curious and you are ready to invest in both the development of teaching and the enhancement of your own professional skills. You have understanding and experience of social services and the theoretical foundations and concepts of social pedagogy. You operate agilely in the digital world, previous work in online teaching environments is an advantage. You are able to operate fluently in English in your work tasks. Your tasks include, among others: - Teaching and supervision tasks in English in the School of Wellbeing and mostly teaching and supervision in English in the Degree Programme in Social Services. Teaching takes place both on campus and online. - Work-life internships guiding - Active cooperation with the work community, students and working life. We require that you have: - A relevant master's degree - At least three years of work experience in the social services - Excellent English language skills and possibly Finnish language skills - Good communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team We also value competence in the following areas: - Completion of teacher pedagogical studies (at least 60 ECTS or 35 ECTS pedagogical studies) OR previous teaching and supervision experience - Methodological development of pedagogy and working in virtual learning environments - Evidence of network work skills and a broad, strategic and visionary approach to pedagogical, internal degree and organizational development work We offer you a multidisciplinary and interesting work environment with many opportunities on the Myllypuro campus.
