Furuno: Software Developer (C++)

Type: Permanent, full-time Starting date: According to contract Location: Niittyrinne 7, 02270 Espoo Application deadline: 1.6.2025 Furuno is searching for an experienced Software Developer (C++) to join the R&D unit of 12 professionals in Espoo. The team is responsible for the development of PC-based marine software such as navigation and surveillance systems used in both small boats and large vessels. In the position you will work with versatile full stack tasks utilizing geodata, sensor fusion, graphics and communications. Depending on your skills and interests, youll have the opportunity to participate in all stages of software development from defining the requirements and planning the architecture to UI development, data processing, building APIs and test automation. Furunos main technology stack includes C++, Qt, Linux and Python. You may be the person we are looking for if you have already gained experience from backend development using C++ and you are comfortable working with Linux. Most importantly you are excited about building nautical software in addition to having high motivation to constantly learn more amongst Furunos group of experts. You will be employed directly by Furuno Finland. Start time in the role is as soon as possible, but can be negotiated flexibly. Security clearance will be conducted with the chosen candidate. The role is based in Espoo and requires regular presence at the office due to the physical nature of the product development. While hybrid work is possible, the ability to work on-site frequently is essential.
