Contract Specialist, Kotka CAM Plant Project

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is seeking a Contract Specialist for a full-time, fixed-term position at the CAM Plant project site in Keltakallio, Kotka. CHEC is the main contractor for the CAM Plant project and is responsible for constructing a new battery materials factory. The position is full-time, and the project duration is estimated to be approximately two years. The desired start date is as soon as possible. In this role , you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, revising, and archiving project contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company procedures. You will monitor contract performance, prepare payment certification documents, and support the payment process in coordination with relevant departments. You will also identify and mitigate contractual risks and address potential breaches. Your responsibilities include coordinating contractual matters among clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, including handling claims, variations, and disputes. You will provide commercial and contractual support to project teams and management. We expect you to hold a bachelors degree or higher in Law, Contract Management, or a related field - you do not need to be a licensed lawyer. You should have previous experience in contract review and administration, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects. You understand commercial and legal principles relevant to engineering and construction contracts, and you have strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a multicultural team environment are essential. Familiarity with FIDIC contract terms and conditions is highly valued.
